My name is Dana Powell and I live in Montreal. I started studying pottery almost 25 years ago and have maintained a small yearly production of functional pieces ever since.
I throw each piece and hand paint it with its own unique and very detailed design. I am fascinated by nature, and am more often than not inspired by photographs that I have taken with a macro lens. These include insects, fish, birds, mushrooms and
any other overlooked masterpiece or monstrosity that catches my eye. I use porcelain and faïence (a red earthenware that is from the area). All of my pieces are dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
