Puppet & Mask Theatre Festival
1001 Patentes qui Bougent is a puppetry and masked performance festival featuring indoor shows, exhibitions, outdoor performances, roaming acts, introductory workshops, and masterclasses in puppetry and masked theater at the heart of Quebec’s Laurentians region. The festival offers diverse programming for audiences of all ages.
Celebrating its 5th consecutive year, the festival highlights exceptional puppetry and masked performances from local and international artists, alongside professional development activities for theater practitioners and public events for all.

Workshops for everyone!
The festival organizes public workshops every year. Most of these workshops are free and serve a dual purpose. First, they allow local audiences to experience the art of puppetry and masked performance.
This accessible art form facilitates emotional expression and nurtures a multifaceted imagination. The workshops also serve to educate the public about puppetry—an art form that, while highly developed in Quebec, remains unfamiliar to much of the population.
