Marie Hien Nguyen, is a ceramic artist based in Montreal. After traveling the world for over 15 years as an airline pilot, she discovered ceramics and fulfilled her need for artistic creativity and manual work.
She creates utilitarian and contemporary objects to enhance everyday life. She loves to explore colors and shapes that bring her joy. She also wants to unite her Asian roots with modern ceramics. Passionate about cooking, she wishes to combine handcrafted ceramics and Vietnamese dishes.
With a collective awareness of the negative effects of overconsumption and globalization on our environment, Marie tries to value minimalist and sustainable goods. For her Confetti collection, she decided to use entirely discarded clay that she recovers and recycles manually.
