Canzonne di Notte
Canzone di Notte brings together magnificent melodies that evoke the night, its hopes, anxieties and dreams: a nocturnal imagination, fragile and fleeting, that fades as soon as the first light of dawn appears.
Soprano Marianne Lambert and her harp accomplice Valérie Milot offer a concert featuring arias by Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Sgambati, Mozart and Schubert, enchanting and inviting to reverie.
Marianne Lambert is a coloratura soprano with a crystal-clear, shimmering voice. An in-demand soloist, she is the recipient of numerous international awards, and performs in concert with the finest ensembles in Quebec and beyond. The intelligence and sensitivity of her playing are matched only by her mastery of vocal technique.
Valérie Milot is a musician and entrepreneur with an extraordinary career path. A sought-after soloist and chamber musician, 2022 was a prolific year for her, during which she co-wrote the albums Canzone di notte with Marianne Lambert, and Transfiguration with renowned cellist Stéphane Tétreault. In addition to fulfilling the demands of a concert career, she teaches harp at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal.
