CANDIDE is a collection that tells a story. These earthenware pieces take us into a world where the fairytale meets Quebecois terroir.
The sinuous shapes are reminiscent of industrial pieces from another century, while the scruffy gestures underline the artist's expression with acidic strokes.
The pieces in the collection are entirely handmade from Quebec earthenware. This modest earthenware is enhanced with gold and lustre, giving it a provocative character. Designed to highlight the color of the earthenware, the glaze adds softness to slip-colored pieces and reveals a warm, soft pink on white pieces. Canadian dogwood blooms amid festoons and frills.
Full of contrasts, Candide is an experience fusing romance and grunge with a touch of fairy dust.

I preserve a fleeting present with perennial materials. Imbued with contrasts, my themes are archives, heritage, myths and legends.
I believe that the selection of objects that surrounds us bears witness to our narrative.
Through my work, I humorously celebrate the need for creativity in everyday life through the sublimation of the ordinary and a deep love of kitsch.
The Centre de céramique Bonsecours (CCB) is proud to present the collections of its 2025 graduates of the DEC Techniques métiers d'art - Céramique specialization.
In addition to offering the college program in collaboration with Cégep du Vieux Montréal, the CCB's mission is to promote research and creation in contemporary ceramics. Its gallery offers a diversified annual program of exhibitions, lectures and special events.
