Hélène’s creative process is guided by the coloring of the clay, contrasts, and color gradients. Fascinated by glass containers—whether antique or contemporary—she molds and reproduces everyday objects in porcelain. The hues in her work result from extensive research into body-staining. Like a painter, she mixes various ceramic pigments in different proportions to achieve her own unique shades. It is by recreating these objects in colored porcelain that her pieces take on new meaning.
