My artistic approach is deeply rooted in my personal history, as well as in my intimate relationship with nature and materials.
My passion for ceramics has its roots in my rural upbringing in China, where I grew up in a house built with bricks carefully shaped by my father. Surrounded by my mother's garden, this house was both a refuge and a playground and nurtured in me a deep connection with the earth and all that grows on it. This childhood naturally oriented me towards a vision of the world where harmony between man and nature is not just an ideal, but a tangible reality.
In my artistic practice, this influence translates into a desire to marry aesthetics and utility. I favor a minimalist approach that seeks to reveal the raw beauty of materials, while respecting their primary function. Whether it's a plate, a teapot, a vase or any other decorative object, each piece I create is designed for everyday use, while carrying a lasting emotional charge. My aim is to create simple yet timeless objects that become part of the lives of those who use them, while evoking softness, poetry and a connection with the natural world around them.
My work is an invitation to slow down, appreciate simple things and re-establish a form of dialogue with the natural world. With each creation, I strive to capture the essence of this connection, proposing pure forms and textures that invite touch and contemplation. My challenge is to combine the art of ceramics with everyday life, while infusing it with a personal and universal dimension.
I'm convinced that art, in its simplicity, can have a profound impact, and that an everyday object, far from being insignificant, can be a source of beauty and emotion, a small reminder of the possible harmony between man and his environment. It's this principle that I strive to convey in each of my works.
