Through my work with clay, I seek to express and communicate emotions, to create an introspective atmosphere for the viewer. My inspiration comes from nature, and more specifically from the daisy, a flower I've loved for a very long time. The daisy, the wild, free flower of the field, symbolizes a new beginning, with its ability to bloom year after year. I'm also inspired by landscapes frozen in time, captured in images by photography, creating in me a certain nostalgia. My creations are pure, simple and meticulous. I like to work with contrasting materials to evoke emotions. Themes such as freedom, acceptance and introspection are at the heart of my preoccupations. I like to say that my work allows us to “see beyond what is seen!
Through my explorations in matter, I seek to generate or encapsulate certain emotions. Seeing the beauty in everything, that's what I try to bring out.
