My ceramic practice exists at the intersection of functionality and art. In this intersection I like to create work that is both playful and intuitive. I approach clay with a sense of curiosity, allowing the material to guide me as much as I guide it. Each piece serves a purpose while inviting contemplation and interaction. I believe that art should be integrated into daily life, not confined to pedestals or distant gallery walls. Through accessible shapes and forms, I strive to dissolve the boundaries between utilitarian objects and artistic statements.

As a psychology major, I’ve always been fascinated by people and how they interact with their environment. I'm inspired by the moment when someone grasps a cup, cradles a bowl, or runs their fingers along the texture of my pieces, and notices the ergonomic details. It’s really exciting seeing how the smallest things can change the way someone feels about an object. Bringing vibrant colours into my work lifts people's mood. A deep thumb print on an oil bottle provides additional grip. Ridges in a noodle bowl give a convenient spot for chopsticks. With ergonomic design, you can see how little decisions can impact someone’s life.

A look at what you will discover.
