I work mainly with clay slabs. I love fabrication, and I want the pieces to reveal how they were made: visible joints and pieces that show the softness and flexibility of the clay. I really like color, but also white and beige glazes, which allow dark clays to show up on lips and edges.
As a designer, I prioritize functionality and love making pieces that are part of everyday life. I love functional objects and I find that handmade embellishes the ritual of everyday life.
