My approach is primarily playful. I appreciate clay for all the possibilities it offers and its different techniques - throwing, shaping, colombin - which enable me to vary the pleasures. One constant is the use of sgraffito to animate surfaces with a play of colors and patterns that make each piece unique. The important thing is to create a utilitarian object that will brighten up everyday life.
