Ceramics are Cynthia Moreau's favorite medium because it combines artistic expression with a fine technical knowledge of the material. As a ceramist, his process is therefore as rational as it is intuitive and creative. Ceramics offer this opportunity to explore the fascinating links between human action and the elements of nature such as earth, water, air and fire.
Fundamentally, it is spontaneous action that fuels his creativity. The imperfection, the raw, the authentic, the crooked line and the detours are all ways of expressing his approach. What is fundamental is this duty to stop and contemplate the objects of use of one's senses in order to grasp their scope. Thus, each piece is unique and has a particular character. They all arouse a singular emotion, they all evoke a story that is personal to us. Sometimes soft, aggressive, happy or sad, each of the pieces represents a different part of the artist.
