Influenced by my European ancestry, I draw upon the artistic sensibilities of the women in my family, who were seamstresses, embroiderers and lace makers by profession. I strive to achieve refined details and finishes that still feel organic and inspired by nature but allow for everyday use and purpose. I am ever exploring and trying new techniques, adding refinements and ways to alter and explore clay that allows me freedom to express motifs that bring me and others joy.
