Roxane Charest's desire for beauty and freedom led her to take up crafts and ceramics. For her, artisanal work is a way of asserting short-circuit exchanges where the human being is at the center, and where respect for the material is the key. Working with clay and creating ceramic objects appeals to her above all for their ability to infuse everyday life with art, to materialize the poetry vital to our humanity. These intentional objects, beyond their function, evoke feelings and emotions. With an intimate, surrealistic approach, she aims to create an evocative universe. The Méandres collection, with its soft, sinuous lines, whispers softness and slowness. The pieces in the collection give free rein to creativity through the stacking of pieces, the marriage of shapes, formats and colors. The minimalist shapes, matte finish and neutral colors also convey a certain nordicity, and a love of nature, enveloping and soothing.
