As a Montreal-based ceramicist, I began pottery during my bachelor’s degree in biology as a creative outlet, which quickly became a passion. From my very first classes, I developed a strong interest in wheel-throwing, which led me to practice on my own and then to work in production at Monokiini, where I honed my wheel-throwing skills and developed a high level of production efficiency.
Through my personal practice, I discovered a deep passion for shaping delicate small sculptures and meticulous attention to detail. My background in biology directly influences my creative inspiration, particularly through the presence of animals in motion integrated into utilitarian objects. Ceramics allow me to combine a sensitive connection to the living world, a return to the material, and a balance between artistic creation and function.
