Developed through a playful process and a desire for hybridization, all the pieces I create draw equally from the figurative and the utilitarian. I borrow elements from the realm of the monstrous—limbs, teeth, and bumps—that blur their functional nature and seek to bring to life what, at first glance, appears inert. Through monsters—hybrid and unconventional figures—a fear of the unknown is awakened. Yet it is precisely their mixed and imperfect nature that makes them secret and unsuspected forces.
From the moment they are crafted and leave the studio, these beings come to life as companions with whom it becomes possible to forge sensitive and intimate bonds in everyday life.
