By playing with the contrasts and textures of the selected clays, Céline seeks to highlight the intrinsic qualities of the clay. Through the utilitarian object, ceramics become a meeting point between art and the person who works with it.
As a carpenter by trade, her relationship to form and structure is intimately linked to her practice. Using the potter’s wheel and hand-building techniques, she creates simple, refined forms, with an ergonomic focus on the object and its environment.
