Through visual and tactile experience, we seek to connect the viewer or user of our pieces with the natural forces that inhabit matter. With the power of alchemy present in the process of creating ceramics, clay, water, fire, glazes and air interact to create microcosms where the elements become tangible. The cosmos, the ocean, the volcano and vegetation can thus be imprinted in a cup or a sculpture, and their power transmitted to the public. It's the fusion of glazes that interests us, the conversation between the artist's work and the force of fire that acts beyond our control.
We also want each piece to be elegant, refined and pleasant to use. We develop each of our glazes using our own recipes and combinations, a process that requires several years of research, testing, and fine-tuning.
