My ceramic pieces are primarily made on an electric potter’s wheel. My work is an ode to light, an invitation to immerse oneself in the subtleties of color. Each piece serves as a canvas, upon which the color of the clay or the stroke of a brush is imprinted. It also reminds us of those rays of sunlight that trace the walls of our homes, sometimes warm, sometimes mysterious. I draw inspiration from the movement of nature, the hues of plants, and the ornamentation found in Montreal’s architecture—what is traced, left behind, and discovered. Thus, I aim to create utilitarian and decorative ceramic pieces imbued with a dreamlike quality, delicacy, and timelessness: glimmers of light in a corolla.
