I create for my own enjoyment, to bring to life what exists in my mind. Clay allows me this freedom thanks to its versatility.
My “Porcelain Drapery” collection revolves around movement. My experience in sewing inspires me through its folds and textures, which I apply to porcelain—a clay that captivates me with its transparency and pure white hue.
My second series, “San Andreas Fault Line,” draws inspiration from the power of nature—those earthly fissures that separate spaces, yet also carry the notion of renewal. It captures those moments when, overnight, everything shifts. It evokes adaptation to a new territory, the idea of a fresh start.
I work without sketches, in direct dialogue with the material. I approach the clay with an intention, then let it guide me. I seek aestheticism in my works, with a touch of humor.
