My practice encompasses a variety of production methods and focuses on exploring and creating functional and decorative objects, with a strong emphasis on casting. I also incorporate teaching into my work. Sharing and exchanging knowledge allows me to take a fresh look at the practice of ceramics.

My work is also shifting toward one-of-a-kind pieces and installations, featuring a sculptural work that explores the concepts of roots and the fundamental need to belong to a group. I also create unique decorative pieces where the precision of casting meets the random assembly of slabs of poured clay.

My artistic identity is expressed through curves, color, and visual codes drawn from my training as a graphic designer. Ceramics bridges my contradictions: precision and spontaneity, order and chaos, impulsiveness and reflection. I am a

social person who loves solitude; the practice of ceramics nourishes both facets of my personality.

My pursuit of utility is juxtaposed with that of aesthetics, of the perfect curve. I appreciate the rigor and concentration required to make a mold and the precision it brings to the replication of a piece. I love the freedom of accidents and the splashes of underglaze. Shaping and throwing allow me to leave the imprint of my touch in the clay and to turn it into perfect imperfections.

My designs are inspired by Japanese watercolors, Art Nouveau, and the forest. The shapes I create are influenced by industrial design and architecture. The circle that adorns my pieces is a form of visual mise en abîme; the raw material shines through in a clean space, amidst the chaos of an organic decoration on a defined form… and this circle gives me the freedom to expand my visual explorations while providing a sense of grounding and familiarity from one collection to the next.

A look at what you will discover.
