Half poet (winner of the 2025 Geneviève-Amyot Second Prize and published in several literary journals), half ceramicist, I create functional or decorative pieces that I call “narratives.” The object becomes a canvas upon which a poetic universe unfolds—one that is both self-contained and closely linked to my writing process. The visual effect is achieved through the layering of various decorative techniques (screen printing, linocut, decals, and raised elements). I also sometimes include poetic verses drawn from my own writings, which I apply to the pieces using decals.

My current influences stem primarily from artistic utilitarian pottery. I am particularly fond of Lesley McInally and Blackbird Pottery (ON), Helen Beard (UK), Anna Lambert (UK), Molly Brotherton (FR), and Justin Rothshank (US). A more pictorial approach, incorporating mixed media and words, is the direction I am constantly seeking to explore further.

The “Voilier” collection is already well established in Sherbrooke and the surrounding area. The blue-green hues of the glaze, which evoke the sea, emerge during the third firing.

My new collection moves closer to an ideal: producing less and designing utilitarian pieces where the emphasis is on the creative act rather than on repetitive mass production. These pieces resemble one another, but no two are identical. The decoration features plants from my surroundings, screen-printed, along with raised forms (snails, fossils, flowers) and decals.

In an effort to move away from mass production, I also design funeral urns. The ethics of care give my work a great deal of meaning.

A look at what you will discover.
