My ceramic practice explores how imagery can speak across time, connecting past and present experiences. I draw on images, motifs, and symbols from various artistic

traditions—from ceramics to paintings and tapestries—carefully absorbing their details and imagining the lived realities they represent. Through deep consideration and personal interpretation, I translate these historical works through my own emotional lens and experiences.

I explore the tension between precise and spontaneous movement. While the ceramic

forms are wheel-thrown in porcelain with careful attention to clean lines and simple

shapes, the surface decoration is made through more spontaneous and intuitive markmaking. Each piece is painted in a single session, with no ability to revise or alter marks once made. This approach creates surfaces that are loose and painterly, preserving each gesture and brush stroke in the fired glaze.

Inspired by and rooted in functional craft traditions, my ceramic items are made to be

used. Decorative but functional, the pieces maintain the essential connection between ceramics and its use in daily life.

Working with an intentionally limited palette, I use a shared visual and symbolic language that connects historical references across pieces. Individual works are designed to form collections, creating larger narratives through their interactions with each other.

A look at what you will discover.
