This is the 20th edition which is held from July 11 to August 10 in the heart of Val-David village, just one hour north of Montreal. Exclusive pieces discovered Quebec ceramists unveil some of their most exclusive pieces. A large number of them are present on the site to explain their techniques and discuss their latest creations. The event is organized like an intimate meeting in a lovely garden surrounded by a thousand and one pots for every kind of use. From teapots to cheese plates to bowls for your morning coffee, decorative objects of all sorts shared the garden space outside the workshop of Kinya Ishikawa, the exhibition's founder and master ceramist. Welcome to the 2008 edition of 1001 POTS! As in the past, the exhibition will be host to mini-events and activities: the Japanese drums are back, turning demonstrations will be held, Ikebana floral arrangements displayed, as well as furoshiki decorations and various courses for children and adults. And of course, you will be able to view the large selection of ceramics set out in their thematic sections al around the site. The Tea Salon will be there again, in a new location this year next to the Silica Garden, where you will be able to relax and savour some of our renowned Japanese green teas. We are looking forward impatiently to your visit and we hope that the beauty of the site and its magnificent ceramics will touch you once more, as much as it does us and our creators and exhibitors.
